next time u park up and before you take a pic just take 2 mins and think on
you could have left that bottle out of the pic.. and placed your bike off to one side at the edge.. L shapes and T shapes are good.. or lie on the floor and take one of your bike looking up at it with fields and sky line behind. just my 2p edit: and leave yer helmet and gloves off the bike. |

a similiar photo tip to the above is the 'rule of thirds' - place interesting things not in the middle but a third of the way up the photo or third of the way along it.
Try to avoid the horizon line right in the middle of a photo, more impactful is usually having more earth, or more sky. Also good is if you can put things where the 'third lines' would cross (imagine it like a noughts and crosses grid) ... following these rules draws the eye in more and make photos more interesting. ... Also photographing bikes - too many people don't get down low enough and the bike can look a bit 'pun'y sometimes 'cause of the looking down point of view... anyway, will stop the sermon now - hope this helps! |

Yeah did really enjoy it thanks, taught ne a hell of a lot about my riding and the right lines etc as it is dead important on that road.
Also to Pingu and Quiff cheers for the tips, it's always intrested me "How do you take a good photo?" and I thought there must be some sort of technique to it. I shall try the tips out next weekend if I get out and about on the bike. |
