Default K3 GSXR 600 Forks on a pointy

Has anyone done this before? And if so any pics? I'm looking to do this shortly so trying to figure out which wheel etc to use.

are they RWU or USD forks... i'm guessing RWU...

front wheel is GSXR 1000, 750, 600 K1-K4 to be safe..

get same year yokes, mudguard, clipons, calipers, discs for forks..

your friend:

use it to cross reference parts.....

K3 is RWU.

Use the lot.

Yokes fit straight in, stem and bearings are the same.
Clipons are too low, use proper bars or maybe some from a VTR1000 firestorm
Fork legs... duh
Calipers SV1000, K1-3 750s, 600 or thou.
spindle, mudguard 600 or 750. not sure about thou.
wheel, everything up to 05 6/750. or up to 04 thou.

discs. 320mm. flat. AFAIK they're the same as SRAD6 /750, TLS, TLR and 'busa.

have you thought about how you are going to drive the speedo?

if you are going to use magnets/hall unit, i would stick to the OEM discs.. i had a look at the after market discs but found all of them to have odd numbered disc rivets...

if you get stuck.. gives a shout. i'm only over the water from you and always in edin...

So far i have forks, clip ons, spindle, brake calipers, mudguard all form a GSXR 600 K3.

I need a wheel and a set of discs and then a speedo workaround.

So i can re-use my SV head bearings? That is good news, i'll sell the clip ons and get VTR ones and rebuild the forks before i fit them.

So, any GSXR wheel from K1 to K4 roughly? I'll try to find one in silver to save me painting it!

Have a compare first. I think the GSXR clipons will drag cables on your fairings. And be uncomfortable.

I'll flog the gsxr clip ons for VTR ones if they are the ideal rise etc. Can anyone confirm?

I'm pretty sure the K1 600 is a 43mm fork stanchion same as the VTR. Not sure about rise.

They don't test it on MOT. But you'd be daft not to IMO. Even a bicycle speedo is better than nothing.
