Hi Essex Crew,
This seems like the correct place to post, please correct me if I'm wrong. So where do you not get ripped off for tyre fitting in Essex? Pref North. I've just read a few threads in the tyres forum and some of the prices up north for tyres + fitting are dirt cheap! I've made a few calls for a pair of storms ride in ride out and can't get anywhere near a reasonable price. I'd appreciate any tips of fitters you are happy with both in price and service. Thanks, Ben |

Ok so you weren't lying, they are damn expensive, £240 fitted is proper steep, my best quote is 35 quid off that.
Cheers |

you might want to ask them to be extra careful when they are taking the front wheel off..I got my tyres changed couple of weeks back and the speedo stopped working.. the rotor which sits on the front axle was damaged apparently..the rotor is a very delicate plastic component with magnetic bits on it...cost me another 40 quid on top of the 240 i spent for replacing the tyres..

I got mine done in Universal in Hornchurch.
Quick service, last one i phoned a few hours before waited while they were doing it, probably wasnt even 30mins. Not too sure how they compare, i had BT-021's Rear=£130 Front=100, but that was on seperate occasions. That was on the bike. |

Universal at the junction of Springfield Road and Sandford Road in Chelmsford, near the prison - will fit a tyre you bring in. Hubby bought his tyre online and just got it fitted it there for less than £20.
