Ok, I am now on my 3rd set of tyres and this is how I would rate each type I have used out of 10
BT021 - 5/10 Z6 - 7/10 Pilot Sports 8/10 And at £129 a pair from Busters the Pilot Sports are a bargain and the bike handles like a dream and feels planted to the road. I believe the Z6's have recently been upgraded by Metzler so should be even better. I did not like the BT021's at all, the bike did not handle very well at all with these on and they wore out in no time. Tim |

I found the Z6's were ok until you needed to replace them. It was hard to tell they needed it tbh...until the canvass started to show
![]() Pilot powers i had were very good but i'va also heard good things about the Sports tho i've not tried them yet.

+1 for Pilot Sports from Busters or M&P. My thous love them (about 11 rears and 4 fronts). Just fitted a set to her 650 as well.

I have PR2 tyres on my bike they are ace, they seem to work well for me plus long lasting, espically as I'm picking my pace up bit by bit.
I thinking the back end slide today was more me, applying to much throttle whilst leant over, big grin ![]() |

I love the pilot sports, they were good for commuting in any weather and yet were awesome on track as well....
My only gripe with them is that I only got 3600 miles out of them (that was in only 6 weeks) so I swapped for harder wearing tyres..... Pilot Road 2's.....Just as good if not better than the sports....Currently at about 6500 miles and still haven't got to the wear markers! |

I've had a few pairs of Pilot Sports & loved them in all weathers.
As above, they didn't last long, so went for the BT021's. That was a big mistake, as I use them in all weather and the feel was not to my liking. I now have Pilot Power 2ct's ![]() ![]() |

I have pilot road 2ct's and are awesome. i get the back to slide quite alot now. when i got the bike it had bt020's which and the middle was worn throught mway riding. there were shocking in the wet, the bike wanted to become a hedge cutter.

I found the Pilot Sports incredibly quick wearing. The Next generation Pilot Powers are in a different league in terms of wear. Which negates the fact that they are half the price of Pilot Powers. Add in the extra cost of fitting and it's actually more expensive to use Pilot Sports as you'll have to change them twice as often. And you can't get as good a deal on just the rear so it's cheaper to replace them in pairs. You'll end up with a stock pile of fronts.
I killed a Pilot Sport rear in about 650 miles and riding the same way on the pilot Powers for 1000 miles showed virtually no wear. Pilot Sports were very good in the wet mind you. C |

+1 for the above.
The most amazing tyres i've ever had on the SV. Expensive, but my god, they are sticky. Can't see anything getting much better, other than some special Supersport tyre made specifically for racing or the like.
