GSXR Rear Shock Question - Again! - SV650.org

Before anyone moans, I've searched for the answer to the question but couldn't find the answer. It really is about time we put the useful information where it can be easily found.

My question is: - When fitting a GSXR shock, will the standard shock mounting bolts work with the GSXR shock, or will I need to source bolts from a GSXR?

For a pointy - I think you might need a longer bolt on the bottom as the stock bolt threads into the one side of the mount. This is at least true for the ZX6R(R) shock which uses a bolt and nut rather than just a bolt threading into the mount.

I picked a set (bolt and nut) up for a few quid from the local Kawi dealer (was in stock) and I *think* the same bolt would work for the GSXR shock if required.

Check the fiche at ronayers.com and if it shows a bolt and nut for the GSXR shock you're thinking of using then you'd need those pieces as well.
