It also makes a difference if you have a grabrail or not. Another thing to consider is does the paddock stand use bobbins on the swingarm or does it have "shoes" that go under the swingarm. The ones with shoes are handy because they can be used on more bikes but you do need to be careful the shoes don't slide forward otherwise when you go to take the bike off you tend to trap your hand against the back light...The bobbin ones are more secure and easier to use.

Really easy imo.
You need to get a block of wood of about 1 1/2 inch thickness and place that under your sidestand. This will straighten the bike's tilt and make it loads easier to get the paddock stand in place without you holding the bike in a precarious position. Once the paddock stand is in place hold the grab rail and push down on the stand to get the bike straight onto the stand then push harder to get it up. To take it down pull the standslowly and drop it down holding the grab rail. You will then get to a point where the bike is holding its own weight but as long as you keep your weight on the stand that will keep the bike up. Hold the grabrail and pull the paddock stand out the way then slowly let the side stand rest back onto the block of wood. Simples

Got a stand a couple of months ago, so first time i'd used one. Bit scary first time, but piece of **** now. The block of wood (i actually use a brick) under the side stand makes it much simpler.
