Default Unusual number plate question

Dunno if this has been asked before but can you wear a (legal font/spacing) number plate ?

like on a belt or on your back/backpack/back protector etc?

would rather wear it than av it on the bike, s'long as its secure and visible.

or am i being a twonk?

If you left the bike anywhere it would be illegal wouldn't it?

Why do you want it on your back out of interest?

I have never seen anyone riding with a number plate on their back.

it could be hung on the bike if left somewhere

well.......due to the crackdown on smaller plates i decided to re-fit the standard sized plate and i have to say it didnt look great

jus thought the back end would look better without the yellow sailboard on the bike.

does law require it to be attached to the vehicle? or does it jus need to be legal and visible?

Velcro, back in the day, certain types velcroed the plate on the back.

Apparently you can have a smaller plate as small as 5" by 7" as long as the letters are the right size and not get pulled. I am sure it is the lettering that is the issue not necessarily the size of the plate. I do believe I read that in a thread not so long ago. Correct me if I am wrong.

due to my 7 digit number the plate has to be 9x7 (9x6 1/2) for the dvla font requirements.

thing is i have twin cans, so the plate doesnt fit in between so has to be below them. the aftermarket tail-tidy is like a snowshovel would like it all removed
