Hey,
I just wanted to know if anyone could give me an idea how much my bike is worth, I am considering selling my beloved sv but wondered how much I would get for it first. Any ideas? Its a 07 sv650s K6. Fully faired model with lower fairings, it can be put back to standard but it has a seat cowl, tail tidy, crash bobbins, black screen, clear tail light, screen bolt kit in blue and brand spanking new tyres(300miles) (Pirelli Diablo stradas), oh and just had a new chain and sprockets and a suzuki lower seat. I forgot it also has upgraded 4 pot calipers and goodridge braided hoses and a beowulf lovely end can(lovely sound). It has 12,000 miles on the clock and doesn't need an MoT til March. One more thing, heres the catch, it is registered as a Cat D- It has scuffs on the top fairing about 5cm long on either side and slight marks on the back panels- these made it a cat d!?! I think that's it, hope you lot can help me value it and I may be putting it up for sale in the near future (bikes in avatar). Last edited by zobers; 11-08-09 at 08:13 PM. Reason: Forgot can |

Thanks for the comment.
How about value as standard? and value with extras? I would consider taking it to bits. ![]() |

![]() extras don't add to it really. The Cat D will need to be declared really. I'd say about £3k but be prepared to take £2.8k for a standard one but perhaps advertise at a bit less for the Cat D.

Category D A damaged vehicle which the insurer has decided not to repair, but which could be repaired and returned to the roadOr this link says how it compares to the other type of write-offs.

The fact it is cat d will put some people off. I'd say you'd realistcly be looking at £2500 but advertise it for £2800 to 3k as you never know.

Do you think as standard or with the bits on it?
It really shouldn't be a cat D but the previous owner claimed on all the plastics for minor scratches. Both of you said similar prices, so that seems pretty good, thanks! |
