Default Penguin down

A371 just outside Axbridge. My fault, lack of forward observation and car in front braked hard and I skidded and laid the bike over on the left side.

Gladius is still a runner but the handle bars were bent and it would have been unsafe to ride so have to call recovery. Cosmetic damage to panels and bent gear stift.

RST leathers did the job Banged my left knee but no serious damage.

Look on the bright side, gives me an excuse to do some mods to the bike

Like... get rid of and get a decent bike? Only kidding mate, they're not that bad. Glad you're ok mate, not a nice feeling having an off but it'll work out as a learning curve by the sound of it. Take care bud

Whee that's what i did, except there was a bike in front of me... and i hit it.

But yeh in the end you get over it, no damage done to you and bike's fixable so best of luck gettin' back on the road!

Gladius is now safely at the garage. The radiator has a dent in it, the plastic 'pod' on the left side is scuffed as is the plastic cover on the tank. Handle bars are bent, but they have a nice set of Renthal bars which I think will look better than the standard ones

Depending on the cost of the repairs I think I may get the R&G tail tidy fitted whilst they have her in.

Can't wait to get her back on the road, just need to remember to stay upright next time

Sorry to hear about this SP. Glad you're ok. Fingers crossed to a cheap and speedy fix (both you and the bike).
