Default Arai...

Nice lids, lots of trick features and vents and quiet...

But whoever designed the visor mechanism needs their ink sack removing

I say ink sack because it could only have been a particularly dexterous cephalopod that came up with a release mechanism involving four plastic screws, a visor, a peak and two inexplicable extra bits that sit on the outside, all of which will spring off the lid as soon as you let go to pick up one of the stupid little plastic screws

Other than that though it's just dandy

Oh, I forgot to mention the actual bits that control the visor movement, the springy plastic bits, that are held in under tension, will ping out of the helmet if you knock them while the visor is off, meaning you have to leap accross the room to catch them like some gargantuan flea...

I found you have to be a little more brutal putting the visor back in than you'd like...

LOL

If it was that easy I'd be happy, try doing that on a Tour-X and you'll just break the visor

If you're finding it hard to get the visor in and out of the sidepods, and the visor opening/closing is quite stiff, then you can loosen that off a little and I find it helps with visor chaging:

1. Remove the visor.
2. Pop off both side-pods. there is a special tool for this, but anything roughly lollipop stick shape will do - just push it in the front of the pod to push the red slider back.
3. Undo the base-plate slightly and edge it forward a little bit (only talking a mm or so). Then tighten it back up. Do both sides.
4. Replace the side-pods, and there is a trick to this too - locate the top lug in the hole, with your thumb at the lower front of the pod push in (until it clicks) then maintain the pressure and slide your thumb to the back of the pod (you'll hear another click).
5. Replace the visor, and check the opening/closing it tight enough for your preference.

The thing most folks get wrong is not getting the two 'clicks' when putting the side-pod back on.

All of this is demostrated on youtube.

I think the Tour-X has a silly mechanism where the visor sits on the lid, the peak then sits over the visor and the little plate sits over the top of that... I will admit thought, it does look pretty trick...
