Default Reduce Force of Throttle Return Springy Thingy

Hi Folks,

My throttle returns with quite some force, is there a way to reduce the force it springs back with? Obviously I want it to return properly, but not require a tight grip all the time, which gives quite a bit of aggravation on longer journeys.

I've taken the assembly apart at the bar and no signs of anything adjustable there, so I'm assuming it'll be the other end if it's possible?

Short answer, no.

Long answer, you can but it involves modifying parts rather than just adjusting something.

Bugger - not the answer I was expecting, or hoping for - obviously.

would something like a r6 throttle mod for example change the forces for the better?
Or one of the little cruise control things that hold the throttle on?

Holding it on full throttle constantly might be a little less strenuous?

Not familiar with the R6 throttle mod - will do a search - cheers Dave.

Next best option I think will be o-ring throttle friction jobby.

Have tried holding throttle fully open, but find I have trouble stopping, cornering, and avoiding attention from the old bill.

You could run the cable in a bad way so that it doesn't return as smoothly ?

I'm not saying this is a good idea by the way

You could cut your brakelines while you're at it too

Would rather find a way of doing it without specifically damaging something. Figured there would be a spring somewhere that may be able to be replaced easily with something a little weaker.

the only spring I can think would affect it is on the carb, however not something I'd mess with (could be wrong though)
