Default MP3 player - AA powered?

Can anybody recommend an mp3 player that's powered by AA or AAA batteries?

They all seem to have internal batteries that recharge via USB these days. I'd like a player that isn't tied to a computer/charger if it's possible.

Cheers!

How are you going to get MP3's on it if it isn't tied to a computer?

This is the one I've got, best thing is it will play WMA encoding which is far superior to MP3 and AAC. It will play MP3 though.

Creative MP3 players are great, I had one of the oiginal 128MB versions, but £89 for 1GB is taking the proverbial.

If you aren't fussed about advanced functionality there are loads of no-name jobs available (try Maplins) that will take a single AAA battery. Can't access the site in work, but you should be able to pick something up for under £20.

Hes got a point.
Plus charging from a USB is free.
Unless your thinking of being away from a pc for a few days at a time.

Ah! The thing is, I want to be able to fill an mp3 player with some of my favourite albums and give it some heavy use for a week or so while I'm in hospital and not have to worry about integrated batteries going dead on me

It's the only reason that I want an AA powered player.

I found a cheapy mp3 player in the end - Maplins couldn't help

When it was mentioned that cheapies usually run on AA/AAA I thought I'd try SVP as I've bought cheapy type stuff off them in the past, they are selling a 1GB Sandisk player for 20 quid. It runs on a single AAA battery for 15 hours. Just the job, handy for holidays too.

I was going round the bend checking out Amazon/Currys/Comet etc etc!
