I race Tamiya M03 Minis on a carpet track - here is my race car...

Its a tight circuit so only silver can motors allowed. Touring cars can get expensive with all the brushless motors, lipo batteries, tyres and additives etc - Minis are just good clean cheap fun! Tomorrow night is our first night back after the summer break Have a look here to see what's local to you.

I used to, but 4WD buggies on an off road course. Be warned, its huge fun, but it can get expensive depending how sucked into it / how competative you want to be...

wideboy i wasny at the hop farm as i was working at the shop. i need as much moeny as i can get to fund the gsxr and the car racing hopfully.

im thinking i want to race the touring cars so i can go brushless eventually, ive got a brushless 1/16 running on 3cell lipo and its rapid.

cheers for the link skip, theres a club not far from me who have a practice all sat. how do the minis go? do you have any problems getting parts from tamiya. i work in a model shop on sundays and think im going to go with kyosho.

i thought about off road fizz but the local club just closed so its a no go now, plus i prefer the cleanness of electic on road.

On our tight circuit in a village hall they are hugely fast - an M03 chassis needs no more than the kit motor to make it fast. Our top drivers car is totally standard as its all consistency that is the key. Hence a £100 kit can see you competitive straight away which I think is a lot of the appeal. There are a huge number of clubs in the UK who race Minis so if you are just after a bit of fun rather than emptying your wallet then I can highly recommend it.

Here is a Youtube video of one of our meetings - when you are not racing the cars can be hard to follow! Make your head spin!

why? you want a 1000£ bag of poo then?

seriously, unless your going to spend 2.5k and ace it the big petrols are a waste of time. get your self a 1/18 buggy or truggy. they are the most robust and will be as fast as a 1/6 monster. i can recomend kyosho, their inferno range is great and cheap to repair but you have to really try to do serious damage.
