Default Recommend me...... A flip front lid

My current helmet is an X-lite X801r (Nolan make the X-lites), ticks all the boxes, gold stamped so allowed on track, small so easy to turn my head and don't get neck ache from leaning forward and looking up so I can see the road as it's very light too.

But after this morning I'm thinking of helmet shopping (though not DEFFO getting a new lid). Would like a flip front with the integrated sunvisor thingy (so you look like your in top gun)

I've got a 30 mile (well 27mile) commute to work and this morning I had a 1 mile stretch through a village where I could actually see due to heavy fog. (I understand a new lid will not get rid of fog and rain but it could make things a bit easier sometime like this morning)

The fog was that thick it was like riding through rain and had to keep wiping my visor every minute or so, but it was that cold and wet that even small breaths were misting up my shades inside the lid (hence wanting an integrated sun visor thingy like the Cabergs) but I couldn't take the shades off as it was so bright and couldn't lift my visor up because my shades would have got soaked and made it even worse.

So, these integrated shades in these visors, are they anti-mist too?

I was liking the look of the Nolan N103, but had been reading up on them today and they seem to be more hassle than they are worth, leaking visors, very noisy at all speeds (my current lid isn't very quiet either), very heavy (but flips fronts will naturally be heavier because of the extra parts in them).

Come on mighty org and give us some suggestions. Price between £150 - £250 or even upto £300 for the perfect one.

Not bothered about race rep colours and all that carp, never have been and no point mentioning Schuberths because they cost more than my bike.

Requirements
  • Flip front
  • INTERNAL integrated sunvisor that comes down far enough to cover your field of vision.
    • It would be good to be able to get rid of the need for shades being worn in the lid.
    • I have never, do not, and never will go for having shaded / coloured / iridium or any other type of visor, cos that's even more hassle then shades
  • Comfy
  • Antimist visor
  • Well ventilated
  • Quiet
I want to put some comms in it later on (boom mic and speakers)
  • ACU approved in case of occasional track day useage
Any ideas?

I've been using the Caberg Justissimo GT for a few years and it's perfect for me, Sun visor is pretty comprehensive and can be changed out easily for a different type. (Iridium, mirror etc)

It's comfy, can be intergrated with bluetooth unit.
Shame about the lack of designs, they only come in 3 plain colours.

That said I tried on the Schuberth C3...my god...if I could spend £500 on a lid that would be it .
Very compact and light, very solid, the flip down is full on and I've never know a lid fit me so well
