Hi All!!
Wanted to pop my head round the virtual forum door and say Hi. I feel a bit of a fraud as I have only just passed my big bike test and last week bought my first "proper" bike - a glorious fully faired SV K3. Before that I was riding a Honda CBR 125 and practising on my other half's GIXER 750 (never on public roads, m'lord ![]() I'm hoping to put some mods on the SV and generally bling her up so being as I am a newbie I would welcome as much advice, knowledge and teasing as possible. My next task is to get some piccies on here for you to comment on. I'm giving the old girl a clean and polish today as I've already being out playing over the weekend (trying to get her over). Toodles for now Amanda x |

That was quick!! lol
Well if there is anything you can tell me above and beyond the usual Muk-Off cleaning kit, polish, etc then fire away. ![]() One problem I have got is that the fairing has a a few scratches in it. Without replacing it whats the best way of going about getting it shiny and smooth again?? |

Welcome.
As for cleaning, a small child is the best method. £5 pocket money for a full clean and polish. Then let my sister take her 6 year old son back and she has to try and get all the grease and muck off him. Lucky you living near the New Forest - great riding area. |

I saw the words "Other half" and had a mental semi-shut-down.
![]() Welcome to the org, we're really not as bad as the rest of them make us out to be. |

Hello and welcome,
I wouldn't worry too much about the scratches at the moment, if you're anything like the rest of us you're likely to add a few more in your first year of biking. |
