Clutch cable on naked pointy.

Yesterday my cable gave up the ghost so I have ordered a new one from George Whites. Now, I am assuming that it should be pretty easy to replace but thought I would ask the mighty org before starting. Is there anything that I should be aware of before swapping them over and is there any "the trick is" methods I need to be aware of?

It's fairly straight forward. Undo at both ends (you'll need to remove the front sprocket cover). Tape the old cable to the new one and pull it through to save faffing about with the routing, re-adjust the clutch free play untill all is well, and whever you do, for the love of God don't

Tell me about it, under 9000 and the cable gives way at the lever end nipple. Ah well, under £15 for a replacement so not too much hassle I suppose.

Get someoil down it before you put it on, and some grease on the nipple end at the lever,so it can pivot easily. Thats all I did. 35,000 miles from the old one (I think, I assume...)

Maybe you should stop rolling around with the clutch in, give it some gas and break that 30mph barrier!
