TCX Infinity GTX boots virtually new size 41
For sale are my TCX (was Oxtar) Infinity GTX boots.

These are size 41.

For fitment, I am a 41-42 and wear these with medium thickness socks so I
think they size large. Please find some to try before you buy as I can't take back if don't fit.

Bought end May and worn twice only, cost £209, will provide receipt for guarantee purposes. Never worn in rain but they are Gore Tex.

Price £170 posted, £10 less than the equivalent but possibly inferior (see below) model from Hein Gericke.

These are the same style as BMW Savannah (or Santiago???)
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69649
and Hein Gericke Rally II
but they are reckoned to differ a bit
http://gsri.info/forum/general-forum...iews-thoughts/

I had the HG ones first, didnt like the fit, returned them and bought these which were fine. Go figure. The finishing is also slightly different.

Reason for sale is see my signature (I am only keeping one set of off-road kit).

Please PM me.

Not best photos as just rinsed the dust off, but bottom one from Fowlers website

Your link doesn't work, but very competitive pricing at that outlet, cheaper than eBay.

Factor in the postage, make sure they have them in stock, & feel free to make a purchase.

Or you can do what most people do and make an offer if you don't like the price and I can say 'yes' or 'no'.

And £6 odd postage.

Either make an offer or rearrange the following words

off thread out of my ****

Let me help the hard of thinking here. Cut and paste:

''Hello Mr* the white rabbit
(* I always find being polite helps)
I see you are asking £170 for those boots, but on some website I reckon I can get them for £175 INCL postage.
Would you therefore accept £155?
Yours sincerely
Someone who knows how to ******* buy something..........(you can insert your own name here)''

And before anyone else who obviously scans the used ads and rings people up to tell them their second hand coffee table is a bit pricey comes along, no I didnt know they were that much at www.barrysknockdownstuff.com or wherever.

Thanks for looking

You know, with this common sense approach I nearly said yes. But no. Sorry.

Thanks though.

Well, you know...

I guess folks like being helpful.

When I Googled them the cheapest I came up with was eBay at £188 +p&p, in case anyone thinks I was trying to rip anyone off. People who have bought from me in the past will know that I always price stuff to move on, but I can't shift these stupid cheap.

I had the same thing with a bike that I had been advised on the price by a bike salesman I know, then had multiple complaints that is was too pricey. It eventually sold for a sum that the new buyer was happy with. I would have liked a bit more but hey ho. But interestingly, the initial complainants didn't come up with an offer at all on that occassion. Just helpful I guess.

ANYWAY, apparently a 7.5 . I'd say more like an 8 if an 8 fits you easily with some room. You'd need thicker socks if a 7. That's why I suggest a try on at all good retail outlets.

The White Rabbit - Sorry, I appear to have caused you immense grief by correcting a failed link and showing the price at the end of that link. No harm was intended, was just tidying up and trying to help. Clearly backfired so won't be doing that again.

FWIW - I use TCX Infinity GTX boots year round and they are damn fine, cool enough in summer and will keep piggys warm and dry in the coldest wettest winter.

Don't worry about it. I wish I hadn't started this whole debacle.

Here's an idea. The quoted price is very cheap, and I paid £209, more fool me but I guess it was spring.

Anyway, to check they are available at that cheap price, why don't I order a pair and see if they come, and then I will have two pairs to sell on here

Perhaps I should just start all over with this.

What I don't understand is why people don't just look at a price, check it out, then make an informed offer.

That's what you do when you buy anything FFS.

I did point out it was a bit difficult to follow.

It's from another forum, I was mearly telling folks what a scrape I had go into for their amusement, you know a laugh, like a bit of fun, a bit of a chuckle, a titter. Remember That's Life, yes, well like the things they used to have on there. No?.. no.
