Who's your favourite James Bond?

Another pointless poll!

Who's your favourite James Bond? As a pre-teen I loved the Roger Moor era for the snappy one liners, the Lotus & Remy Julian car chases. Then when I knew better I loved the grittiness of the early Connery movies (much closer to the Bond of the novels), but overall I kinda think the best Bond was Lazonby in his one and only outing as he was more of a man rather than a larger than life super-spy.

btw: there is no "KeithD" option in this poll, as, afaik KeithD never played Bond, James Bond ;o)


Edit: That should be "daniel craig"....not Craig David. They both have fornames-for-surnames & they sound similar!

there is only 1 James Bond and that was Sean Connery.

brosnan for me been my age his films are the ones that got me hucked and not the rest so chose him, dont like "craig david" thogh dosent quite fit the image

Now, as something of a JB 'Anorak' this poses quite a dilemma for me. Part of me wants to state that there is only 1 Bond - Sean Connery; however, it's not quite as simple as that.

I liked Pierce Brosnan because IMO he brought Bond back to what he should be - after the Roger Moore comedy years & the Timothy Dalton* PC debacle - I mean a non-smoking, non-drinking Bond who only sleeps with 1 women in an entire movie - really ??!!!

I was very dubious about Daniel Craig when it was announced that he was taking the role - if only because he doesn't fit the 'Bond Model' - ie he's blond !! However, again I like what he's done with the role introducing a 'hard' edge to the character that had got somewhat lost over the years.

So, I'm afraid I can't can't vote - I will merely enjoy the franchise (hopefully) for many years to come.

I read quite a few of the books when I was a child because my Dad told me they were good, but to be honest the films don't do it for me. I find them dull and a little misogynistic.

Was going to vote for the obvious Sean Connery but, having thought about it a bit, I've voted for Brosnan. More like what the books' the JB character, more "earthy" and less "comedy".

Althought I do like what Craig David has done with the role, as said above, back to the hard edged, take no sh*te approach Bond of the books.
