Default First (silly) off.

….this morning !!!!

Before I go any further, let me say that I’m all a-ok ……… and except from a broken front indicator, and a couple of scratches the bike is too ……

I was approaching a T junction to turn right …… the front car was trying to turn left, but the traffic had stopped and blocked their exit. I could see in the distance that the 2nd car had sat for ages waiting for the 1st car to move, so as I filtered past, she (young girl in a Clio) decided she’d had enough, pulled right over the white line where I was riding down, and there was me over the bonnet and on the floor!!!

The driver admitted it was her fault, was very apolojetic, and was only a young thing on her way to an interview !! …………. I know that I should have given the situation a bit more time to develop, so I picked myself up – we both apologised, and off I rode !!!

The most embarrassing thing is that I (with the help of the other driver) picked up the bike …… but it was stuck in gear, and I was on the wrong side, and I let it slip out of my hands, and hit the road on the other side too !!!!

Hey ho …. A few quids worth of damage …….. that’s what I love about the SV – I’m not too precious about it, and I live to ride another day !!!

So you didn't get her details? She must've been pretty

Glad you're ok, and the bike isn't too bad.

Lets hope that is your one and only.

Gutted but a little bit funny! I'm not laughing.... honest.

Seriously though, glad you are OK. Even slow collisions can be scary.

She weren't too bad .... but I was happy to leave before she (or her dad when she got home) started looking at any potential damage to her car ....

She said it was her fault, I know it was 99% her fault (although I was filtering), and didn't fancy any comeback re. you hit/scratched my car !!!

I would have got her details regardless, I believe it's her fault mate, filtering as far as I'm aware is not illegal.

Almost certainly her fault, although proving it might have been difficult. Let's hope that she doesn't change her story to Dad when she gets home, makes you the bad guy and he reports it as a hit and run.

God, I hate being so cynical
