Morning all.
I read a thread on here a while ago commenting on hand guards from a Vstrom fitting on a SVs. However, my local shop spoke to a guy working at suzuki and he claimed that they have never heard of ppl fitting the hard guards from a Vstrom to an SV. Anyone got any advice on whether they fit or not or any alternatives? Cheers |

These are more bark busters to protect from injury than wind deflectors, but they're pretty universal and available from most off road suppliers circa £30

Those wouldn't fit on clip-ons though RH.

be sure what you want them for, deflectors tend to attach only around the bars and offer very little crash protection, but are good for wind protection.
the barkbuster type attach as the deflectors do but also threw the bar end, they come in either formed plastic or a guard mounted on a metal brace. Generally the deflectors are easier to fit and work well on street bikes, but the plastic wrap around type are very good inside handlebar muffs. Cheers Mark.

Yes they fit. I have them got them from robinson's foundry.
Had some problems fitting them but that was because the numpties from the dealer didn't do a good job of fitting the heated grips. |

Just got some fitted on my SV650S along with hotgrips.
Took about 20mins to fit, yet to try them out as the calipers are having new seals fitted. |
