"Would you ride your motorcycle if you weren't a Christian? For example if you were like an atheist or something like that. My answer is two words, hell no! I would not go ahead and ride a motorcycle if I didn't have my eternity sured up".

Each to their own opinion at the end of the day. I'm not an atheist, but if I was, I'd still ride on (as I'm sure loaads here do). This guy seems to think you can't enjoy a motorcycle unless you have your eternity in order?!

I hope this doesn't turn into a religious bash. You can see why he thinks what he thinks, but for me, enjoying the ride doesn't consist of the thought that I might die in an instant. If we all had that thought all the time, we'd probably end up going nuts and not bother riding anyway.

(aaand im sure this guy doesn't speak for all Christian/religious-bikers before the hurt starts coming down, lol)! It's not his religious view point that does it for me, but his negativity towards biking...almost like he's expendable in this life (hence willing to ride a bike)!

Reality is important for keeping us in check everytime we put that helmet on - helps us ride safer, and never forget the risks. But this dudes a tad OTT with his whole "wouldn't go near it if i was an atheist mallarkey"!

I know, lol! The random crapola you can find on youtube when you're meant to be revising at 1.30am is awesome.

I can see his point, IMO if your safety conscious, enjoy life and believe this is your only chance at life i can understand why someone would avoid riding. At the same time if you believe theres more than this life then why care if you die.

I differ from most as i dont care if i die or not, i do care about the real possibility of injuring myself, but currently my bike is the ONLY thing i enjoy, so its either have nothing and lower the risk of injury, or have something to enjoy and take on additional risk.

It depends how much you value your own life and well being, for instance if i was a father (Which i never want to be) i would not ride, and id take other steps to mimimlise all other risk to me to make sure im there for them.

Everyone judges risk differently.

PS: Im anti religion

Well I am a Christian, and a biker.

But this guy is the type that gives the rest of us a bad name.

What an idiot. If he looked at the stats he'd find out that on US roads he is much more likely to die in a cage crash than in a bike crash.

This vid was so bad I couldn't be bothered to watch all of it.
If he's that terrified of riding....he shouldn't even be on a bike.

As the saying goes....
"I refuse to tip toe through life only to arrive safely at death's door."

And if he were truly a Christian.....(and although I'm sure he thinks he is) ...he would be of the belief that it doesn't really matter what you're doing at the time....
If it's your time to go...you're going to die whether you are on a bike or locked up "safely" inside your home.

Don't know why I should be surprised though.....
Let's see.....ignorant, rude, arrogant and ....oh so boring.

He's just being a typical american...with a Christian point of view.
He knows it all and is just trying to enlighten the rest us poor fools.

Sorry for the rant.
This type really winds me up.
