Default What did you do to your SV at the weekend?

Fitted my new dynojetted carbs with velocity stacks yesterday! One carb has a sticky float I think as its weeping out of the overflow. I couldn't get the ******* float bowl screws out as they are made from soft cheese. So I thought i'd go for a ride and see if it sorted itself out. Sun was out and the roads were dry and there was little traffic. Did about 30 miles on little b roads and throughly enjoyed myself. Forgot all about the petrol leak until now. I'd better check it at lunchtime.

I alos took my front mudguard off to fit my fender extender when I got home. We then had visitors who stayed until quite late and I drank a few lagers etc. Guess what else I forgot, yup to put my mudguard back on. So I rode it today with no mudguard on. Looks kinda cool actually!

haha sounds eventful. i keep toying with the idea of fitting a fender extender but never quite get round to doing anything about it. I took my bike out for a play on the moors....was pretty epic, little traffic, sun shining and fast flowing roads.....couldnt really ask for more

Went along the road in a squiggly line cos of my new head bearings. Must have looked like a noob.

Nice having it back to being a wee razor in the traffic n' turns.

I stripped and rebuilt my rear caliper which was sticking quite badly.

Also replaced the pads which were almost non existant on one side.

Fitted new HEL stainless bleed screws as well.

Still need to be bedded in but the pedal feel is much firmer and a lot less vague.

Very happy with the results.

Put the wireing in so that it can have a heater where it sleeps and connected all the burgular alarm system up, still doesnt work right though.

Tightened up a faring bolt that had worked loose, then rode into Soho and back. I used my cage for the rest of the weekend but it wasn't as much fun.

Oil and filter, air filter, replaced sidelight bulb, new spark plugs - who's bright idea was it to make the front one so inaccessable, even with the correct tool from the tool kit it was a pain in the bum!! Just aswell we persevered though cos it looks like the one that was in there had been there since the bike was born, 35000 miles ago!!

I have not even seen my SV for some considerable time. For all I know it isn't even where I left it!!!
