The VT Family and I were talking about sorting out a green laners meet at salisbury plain sometime this year.
I know theres a few on here who use bikes and/or 4x4s to go offroad. Is anybody interested? I have friends in the area and was thinking about sorting a couple of routes where the 4x4 and bikes could both head out for a few hours, meet up for a pub lunch etc before heading off road again to meet up again later. Its just a rough idea at the moment but could be worked on depending on interest. |

Yooo, can help you out with the route depending on how many are coming. Don't want big groups.
Wardens don't appreciate it and don't want to ruin the tracks. Loving the plains, we don't live too far away and have spent many a nice day out there

I was thinking maybe a handfull of bikes and the same with 4x4.
I have found from experience that the more you have, the more agro there is with locals and mechanicals. |

I might be up for some of that, I've got some family with a decent pad in the middle of Salisbury plain, could probably be persuaded to provide a coffee stop....

if i have a bike...... im in.
although i doubt i will have, and still dunno what to get, im leaning more towards the off road sceane (id love a CR125/250 small light and plenty of power, but too much hassle of the plod and a 100 mile motorway ride would destroy it, (not that i would ever ride a crosser on the roads ![]() i have been out of the off road sceane for too long, and have not realy got a clue whats about, i would like electric start, but i also want somthing light. i want somthing that is more of an off road bike, but can cope with the road ![]() probably about £2000......... or do i get a streetfightered curvy? quite fancy white rabbits beta, i know beta trials bike are top of the game, and have had about 6-7, just dunno much about the enduros, |

Ok, I'm confused - what do you guys class as laning? Fizzy says a DRZ-400 isn't the best and then wolfie says he's bring his monster along!
