Default Trying to find out value of my bike

Firstly, apologies, if this is in the wrong forum, but I'm not planning on selling my bike, I just want to know what it's 'real' value would be, so honest info from me:

- SV650S K4 04 Black
- 15,500k miles
- Datatool alarm/immobiliser
- (Edit - forgot to add it has lower fairing)
- Rear Hugger
- Scottoiler (by the way, you can probably tell I have no idea what info is useful )
- Last serviced (inc. oil change) at approx 8000 miles (please don't shoot me, I know it needs an oil change). I did change one spark plug a while back, but never got round to the other one
- Tryes replaced about 18 months ago, still loads of life in them (I pretty much only use it for short town commutes).
- No mechanical issues, starts every time (since I changed the battery for a good one).
- Rather dirty with a protective layer of dirt/rust, but used everyday and kept outside.
- Some minor scratches, and a bit of a dent on the nearside of the radiator when I dropped it under heavy braking a while ago.

So, and please no random guesses, if you were to buy a bike in this condition, what would you consider a reasonable value?

An odd question I know, but then, I'm a bit odd at times

Jo

I'd say between £1600(possibly less) - £2000 (the lower sum dependant on whether or not you tell them it's not been serviced...you really should though)

That said people do go a bit silly for black bikes, maybe more.

Thanks for that

Well, I'm a sucker for being totally up-front, if I sold the bike, I'd say that it had not been serviced since then (it's the last time I have proof from, and even my mother could see it's due one ). Anyway, anyone who came on this site could trace the history of the bike through my posts

However, as I say, I'm hoping not to sell, just need some idea what it would be worth if I had to.

I reckon if you put it on ebay you'd probably find a bidder that didn't value servicing and might take it up quite high (you just never know sometimes).

I'd probably expect £1800/put it up at '£2k or nearest offer'.
Things are worth different amounts to different people though, I'd wait and hear some other points of view. For example, it's pretty standard (not many modifications) some people like to have an untouched bike.

I would of put it about £2000 - £2200 tbh as £1600 seems to be *cough*decent*cough* curvy money

By the way, it's not about what I could get, more like, what would you pay?

They may sound the same thing, but they're not

the bike's only been serviced for half it's life and as soon as you buy it you're going to have to do the expensive/pita valve clearance service and sort whatever may be wrong with it. Or that'd be my point of view anyway, on that basis I wouldn't want to pay full price as it's a bit of a gamble.

Ahh, I'd probably pay £1500 ish if at all, wouldn't really be interested tbh. But that's as much to do with the fact I'm going to have to įrse around with it to get it to how I want it as the lack of maintenance issue. I'm a bit of a funny tw4t though, so hopefully in the minority!
