At the end of last year I decided take my SV off the road with the intention to use it solely on track days. I’ve recently decided against that and have decided to sell the bike due to funds. The specs are detailed below:
-1999 Suzuki SV650 naked Satin black. -GSXR front fork conversion consisting of K1/K2 GSXR1000 forks (forks were also serviced where I replaced the seals, bushes and oil), 98 GSXR SRAD 750 yokes, GSXR750 SRAD front wheel, custom risers and K2 GSXR750 brake callipers (braided lines). -Kawasaki ZX10r 2005 rear shock conversion with 20mm risers. -General modifications- Single seat cowl, Renthal flat drag bars (gold), CNC black 2 finger brake and clutch levers, bar end mirrors, scorpion exhaust, powder coated white wheels (replaced wheel bearings last year), KOSO display, tail tidy, CNC exhaust hanger, polished frame and belly pan. -Also have pillion seat and hangers. -Regulator/Rectifier replaced with MOSFET Honda fire blade unit. -Michelin 2CT pilot power tyres with over ½ life left. I have only just changed the chain, sprockets and rear brake pads at 21290 miles. New DYNAVOLT battery. -The bike has a full service list and covered 22859 miles. The bike is very clean and has been my pride and joy for the last couple of years and has no issues apart from the ones listed below. Bad points: -The front discs are warped (noticeable braking from 60+mph hard). -The tank is gloss black whereas the rest of the bike is satin black. The previous owner had a leather tank protector so it looked okay, but this is now sold. -Whilst riding around the south coast there was some absolutely terrible weather. Unfortunately the spray combined with the grit off of the front wheel acted as a water jet and damaged the paint on the belly pan. Don’t let these minor points put you off because this is an excellent bike. It would be a perfect bike for track days, or with little effort a great bike for the road. I just want to put the feelers out to see if anyone would be interested in the whole bike. Otherwise I will strip the bike for parts and sell them within the next few months. At the moment the bike is semi stripped for track use. I have removed the headlight and indicators. If I sold the whole bike I am happy to put it back to a road worthy condition. No tax as it is currently SORN. The MOT has expired also but there would be no issues in getting another. As you can see there is a lot of bike here. I would be happy to take £1200 ono. Please call 07568 399780 or email kempster64@hotmail.com if you have any questions or require further details. I've tried to add photos below but I don't think it's working. If you right click and choose "open URL in new tab" you should be able to see the photos. Many Thanks, Simon ![]() ![]() Last edited by ibanezlynx; 04-02-13 at 05:53 PM. |

I've tried putting some on. Can you see the two icons at the bottom of my post? If so right click and 'select open image in new tab'. Let me know if it works. If not I can send photos to email addresses....
Thanks |

I made them myself! I am a Development Engineer and have access to turning and milling machines.

Just out of interest and perhaps slightly off topic, how did you modify the tail section on the bike? Is it a complete undertray or just a tail tidy. The reason I ask is I am looking for some ideas on how to go about tidying up the rear of my '01 curvy.

Not had any interest in selling the bike as a whole. Therefore I will start to strip it next week for parts if anyone wants bits...
Liam111- I've never tested them but they seem very sturdy and made out of the same materials as off the shelf bungs. They bolt through the frame into the engine. Would be happy to sell them to you when I will the engine out of the frame? Pricey12- Its an under tray. You have to cut a section out of your existing under tray and the I made this one to fit and had it powder coated at work. Also made the number plate brackets. You will also need number plate lights and a way in mounting them. Once I strip this bike down I could send you some photos... If your interested I could sell you the bits and all you would have to do is trim your under tray to suit. Cheers guys. |
