For Sale Suzuki GS500 blue 2001 Y reg 10709miles no tax or test.
Currently has a restrictor kit fitted as my gf took the half test thngy. (Can come off easily enough) My sister had it before me then me briefly and now my gf even more briefly, she only rode it about twice before deciding it was too heavy for her (its not a heavy bike though lol!) and then she got pregnant so that kind of put an end to riding, so it has probably only done 50 miles i would have thought since the last MOT. I bought a battery conditioner a while back to use on my bike but i have no power in the shed so instead i left it plugged into this bike so the battery is good. It has been stored in the warehouse at work for the last year and is in pretty good condition. The bike is in LEICESTER Price £1000, or bit more with a MOT...is that reasonable? (i was thinking of trying it at £1200 on autotrader but thought i'd try and sell it here first ![]() As it is not taxed or tested you wont be able to go out on the road but as its currently in my work warehouse there's a decent size carpark to ride it round in. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I did my DAS on one of these and found them to be very easy to ride, as Andy says it is not a heavy bike, lighter than an SV650 anyway, better turning circle as well.
In hindsight I might have been better off getting one of these as my first bike instead of the SV, they also make good commuters. |

Seems a fair price to me. Your best bet is probably the bike section on Autotrader. I sold an ER-5 last year on there. My bike was a 2000 with 20k on the clock and I think I got £1100 for it.
I only got four calls in two weeks, but they were all serious buyers. Good luck with the sale. |

If you're going to advertise it I'd go to the effort of MoTing it, 12 months worth would make the bike a lot more attractive.
Good luck with the sale. |

Indeed. 12 months MOT will tell the buyer not only has it already had a professional look over, but he will also have the knowledge that should something on the motorcycle fail that would then not pass an MOT, he has peace of mind that time is on his side before he will have to dip into his pocket to buy replacement parts. I always look for 12 months MOT.

yeah you're right, i always buy vehicles with long MOT's too. Just being lazy as its not insured I'll have to borrow the work van to get it MOT'd. Right, now being sold with MOT! I'll get that sorted. thanks
