I know there are loads of GSXR front end threads, but I have a specific question....has anyone done a late model Gixer front end upgrade i.e. K7 onwards (600/750 or 1000)?

No difference really apart from the steering lock between the K5/6 GSXR1000 and the k6+ 600/750.

On the face of if it, yes that's more or less the dilema of the K6+ front ends - the steering lock won't work. It's possible there might also be some issues with steering stops might be off too...
Electrics... if you're planning on using the Gixxer switches at all, then there may be some extra issues. My K4/5 front end needed a little tweaking, but worked out nicely.

I have a K7 1000 set of forks/yokes/calipers and was basically wondering if there was anything I needed to think about other than where the chuff to get a front wheel from!
Have got the TLS1000 clip ons and the magnets for the speedo conversion, just need to find a front wheel, but also considering jacking it in....wouldn't be the 1st time I bought a set of Gixer forks then jibbed them again because I changed my mind! ![]() (Then again....I do like the black & gold forks) |

BTW - put this together during my quest for wheel/disc and other useful bits in an attempt to understand what's compatible across models/years...hope it's useful!
