I feel a little bit older today
It's not my birthday, but it's a special day for my youngest daughter because she passed her car test this morning. That's the 3 girls out of my 4 kids with driving licences, and the eldest one has a bike licence too. Just got my son to go now, but he doesn't start driving until he's 17 in April.
Well at least now I have a greater choice of people to call when I need a lift home from town at 2am when I'm slaughtered - lord knows I've done the same for them enough times |

I know how you feel. I realised recently that it's about time I started giving my daughter a few lessons (on empty car parks etc) before she turns 17 this year.

My eldest daughter is 29 this coming May - I'm not that young at 47. I have three other kids aged 20 (21 in May), 18 last September and my only boy is 17 in April. Caz's mum and I had just turned 18 and 19 respectively when she was born. As you are possibly aware, I inherited the three younger kids about 9 months after their real dad died in a car crash, but they look on me as their dad and have done almost from the start.
If I had my time again I wouldn't change anything - I love having four kids and love being a youngish father. |
