Check the power feed, mine corroded and the clocks no longer worked, bought new clocks and they didn't work either!
Went through the wiring loom with a multimeter and the main feed to the clocks had died, fixed that and the clocks suddenly worked! Druid

Pointy clocks have been fitted to a curvy before.
Someone on here did it (sid squid I think but may be wrong). Use the search option and you should find it. |

I'm sure it is the clocks. A while back the rev counter started going nuts, now it has settled at a static 4k. Now the speedo is going nuts too and often decides not to work. Took her in to my local garage to sort out a wiring issue behind headlight (which they fixed) and clocks still buggered. They think clocks.

doesn't it depend on the model though? I can see physically that a naked pointy should fit a naked curvy but faired versions?

I have a list somewhere of the connections, I shall find it a post it up. There are a few things to be aware of though - it's not a direct swap. And depending on which model pointy clocks you get the fuel light may or may not function as it did originally.
