Hi! I'm new here, so I hope I am posting in the right place etc.
I have had my 07 plate 650cc SK6 since Feb last year (bought it the day I passed my DAS). Since then, I have been using it as my main form of transport, notwithstanding I also ride it for fun! I've accumulated 20k miles in that time, in all weathers and year round - and not surprisingly I have had a couple of offs. In fact, 50 yards outside the MCN show in London this weekend, I smashed into a kerb at 20 mph which is probably the most embarrassed I've felt in a long while! (I was admiring all my newly bought kit and failed to spot a 'traffic calming' measure) I have had to scrabble around for replacement parts and probably paid over the odds as it has to be fixed by friday when i need it for work. However, all the offs I've had have caused similar damage, namely brake levers, gear/clutch lever and indicators. My first question is where should i be looking to order replacements from in future, and what prices ought I be paying? My second question is where can I find bloody rider peg assembly's? I see replacement pegs everywhere, but the entire assembly is twisted and I can't find an OEM or Pattern entire assembly anywhere to order on the internet! (So until I find one I'll be holding my leg up somewhat uncomfortably!!) And my final question is... besides not being an idiot and dropping the bike in the first place, is there anything that will protect these things in future? Cheers guys! Webby |

OEM - http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/suzuki/index.html
PATTERN - http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Suzuki/SV_650_K4/04/ Cheers Mark.

Wemoto is good for pattern parts like brake and clutch levers, don't buy OEM unless it's for the engine or something critical
Have you tried this bike breakers website. I'd been looking for someparts on Ebay for ages, but never found them. But when I put my search in this site, I got an email from several breakers the next day. http://www.bike-breakers.info/ Use this site to find the part number you need, it has all the parts fiches on it. just select your year and model http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_p...FQ89Zgod71IQjg

Read this thread about crash bungs. Motoslider or R&G's seem to get the thumbs up

Webby...best advice really, especially as you keep crashing, is to keep an eye out on here/ebay and build up a stock of spare parts.
Seeing as you seem to be crashing into things alot, I would recommend a spare front wheel and some forks/yokes etc to get you started. As luck would have it, there are some for sale here....http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=146372 ![]() |

Cheers guys!
Nobbylad, Call me a hopeless optimist, but buying a new f wheel and forks/yokes seems to be tempting fate (and my bank balance isn't so healthy atm). |
