Hallo all.
My bike is due its MOT soon and is also due for a 16k service. Any places that you can recommend to do both in London either in Clapham or Camden area? I'm aware that the 16k service isn't a cheap one, so I want somewhere reasonable with the price. |

I get my MOTs from Essential Rubber and have had small work done by Lazer in Belsize Park. Both come highly recommended and its just a question of which is easier for you to get to i'd say.

Sunbury, and our own Spannerman, is only 20 miles away if you want service several of us have recommended many times. Right by Sunbury train station so you can get from and to with little hassle.

Another shout for spannerman. He dosn't do MoT's himself, but he can organise it for you to get done. Always an excellent service. Essential rubber are also good but can be hard to get to soemtimes, with the traffic

Essential Rubber for servicing and MOTs in North London. I can't recommend them highly enough - if I didn't do my own servicing that's where I'd go.
They are here: Essential Rubber 27-29 Downham Road London N1 5AA 020 7241 0055 Belsize Park? I think you got lost Zig, being as it's not even 200 Yds from Chalk Farm tube to Lazer I said it was in ChalK Farm. Anyway, they are also very highly recommended.

Central bikes in Goodge Place, Dan is your man. He does all sorts worked on my last four bikes and electrical genius. And good cheap rates too. Yes does MOT's.
http://www.centralbikes.co.uk/ Just looked at the site and he is moving to Tottenham Street, 100 yards from Goodge St underground station. |

You are joking! Although they have changed hands and may have improved! They used to be terrible, well even worse than that!
Anyhoo, MOT, yup essential rubber. M<ines off there this saturday. The good thing is that you dont have to book it in (Unless your MOT has run out that is) Servicing. the 16k is only expensive if the shims need adjusting. The checking part is another half hour or so labour. For the record, my sv is on 64K and still hasnt had its shims adjusted (Probably about time it did though!!) |
