Front Tyre Wear - SV650.org

I have noticed the front tyre seems to wear more/quicker than the rear. I have noticed this on my current tyres Michelin Pilot Road 2's and the last set I had on, Conti Road Attacks.

Anyone got any thoughts as to why this might be happening? My initial thought is something to do with my suspension set up...not that you have a great deal of adjustment on a K1 Curvy. I did change my fork springs last year but i noticed it on the Road Attacks before I did that.

Just strikes me as odd that most people say that they go through two rears to one front!

Do you brake hard? Or run funny pressures?

I run 33/36 and have done since I got the bike. Never really played about with pressures.

I wouldn't say I brake overly hard. I do like to think of myself as spirited but in reality I am probably quite slow!

Quickly! Fairly even all over but just quicker than what other people seem to say they get from theres.

I know that is the recomended pressure by Suzuki but I think you will find Michelin recomend 36/42-----I may be wrong but worth a look for your tyre size especially as you have changed the suspension
As a matter of interest what sort of mileage are you talking

I have Corsa111 on my bike and get roughly three rears to two fronts the way they are wearing,with the rears giving 5-6k

Why not try running a harder compound on the front to the rear? Use the same manufacturer for peace of mind but run a sport/tourer on the front (Dunlop roadsmarts) and something a bit softer on the rear(Dunlop qulaifier).
Or something of similar tastes.

Exact opposite for me.My fronts last forever but I do ride like your granny.
