wanted Ohlin shock for 2001 SV650 (Su852) buy new or second hand and need to ship to australia

Japan is closer to you than the UK? unless of course there is a favorable exchange rate.

or was this a call if someone had a secondhand one for sale ?

If it were me I would not limit my search to ohlins, or indeed the ohlins for the SV. The one for SRAD might even be better length.

had ohlins before and they are good so try and get one for the SV. there ae some US bike shops that sell them but no overseas freight, but still loking

I dealt with him while I was in Sydney. Nice guy, though a bit 'out there' at times! Knows his stuff though and a big fan of Penske.

Problem with ohlins for curvy sv is length, it is limited how much ride height you can get out of it. If you looking for close to race bike set up they are way short. Second problem is they are valved and set up for stock spring, way to soft. Needs stiffer spring and revalve with it. Usually ohlins are good but this one is way off.
