Hi everyone,
I have a 2001 sv650s and i want to change the fairings, i have seen these on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SV650-98-02-RA...item25534c5c14 Has anyone used these before and did you find the quality good? I plan to use them on the road, could i cut the fairing so i can use the headlights and rear light? It says the standard screen won't fit so i'm going to drill holes to match my Fabbri DB screen. Any advice would be really welcome, cheers Gremlin |

there nice but it seems a lot of effort to cut the head light and the back light i would not bother but they are nice

Will be a right pain to get the lights to line up and look nice.

The seller got back to me, he says i would need new headlights and bracket for them, i have seen them on the web.
He said people use them for the mini-twins series but didn't know if they made brackets to get the fairing to fit or just drilled where they needed, so not much help there! I'm still thinking about doing it as a little project but any advice about the need for a bracket to get them to fit would be great. |

I looked into some when I had the pointy.
It worked out more hastle than they were really worth. You will need to put loads of reinforcing round where you make the cut outs for the lights as they are only thin. |

hi, try bardney racing on ebay for the fairing, £130, gsxr600, try twinshack for projector light bracket. item no 120519907382, pompymale 37 on ebay for the lights[projector]. thought about doing this to. lights i think would have to go side by side.

try twinshack for a really pretty fairing, but save up as its expensive especially when you have to buy screen, brackets, lights, vat and paint.

A16 fairings aren't that great to be honest, there are far better ones out there. ARD are in the same league as A16 and my mate has just won a court case to have his money refunded after he bought some for his CBR that wouldn't have fitted in a month of Sundays.
I got my CBRs race fairings from BB Plastics in Stevenage (Part of SDC Performance) and they were superb, fitted up with no modification first time and look great quality. I know Gary and Vince there have made SV fairings on the past, so it might be worth giving them a call. |
