Colgate Pro-Relief Toothpaste

So...you've all seen the advert where the dentist tells the man and woman to rub some colgate pro-relief on the sensitive teeth, then eat something that would normally make them scream right!

Well, it works. I bought some last week on the advice of my sister who uses the hygienist grade at work (that's what she does) and wow. I am most sensitive to sugar and so chocolate is normally a painful treat.

I can clean my teeth with this stuff and then rub chocolate straight on my sensitive teeth and not feel a thing....it works instantly.

Jump to just now......used the other toothpaste this morning and just had a bit of Stretchies Twirl.

OUCH!!!

Warning to all...if you use it.....don't go back to something else. Luckily over time, it will build up the barrier and this won't happen, but I am not at that point yet.

we have tried loads, just switched to this colgate one, will see if it works for me

My current state of affairs

Went to dentist for annual inspection 9 days ago. one filling £45

Went on holiday and the tooth he said I will watch has snapped in the root. so still there but wobbly, been back today but different dentist so

He has glued on a "splint" so the backs of my upper front teeth are full of glue. I have to go back next week for impressions to be made. They cannot currently remove the tooth as they have building work ongoing and are not prepared to surgically remove the detached root until they can ensure a clean environment. The following week I have to go back yet again for 30 mins whilst they remove the upper front incisor/root and then fit me with a denture.

£16 for todays glue job and then £200 for the remove/denture and once the gum heals more for the bridge or a wacking 2 grand for an implant.


I curse my dad. I obviously got his teeth genes. My 85 year old mum has never had a filling/lost a tooth. My dad had a full set of dentures whilst in his early 20s.

I work for a company that does precision engineering. Is it worth bribing someone with a couple of packs of fag to knock up a James Bond jaws set of titanium ones for me?

Wow....that was a lot to take in there Tim...lol. Sounds like you're not having a good dental time of it at the mo.

Anyone know the time? Is it tooth hurty yet?
