Default Question for the Autosparks

Ford Focus Mk1 on a 53 plate, which now seems to have a failure on the NSF electric window. I've got power to the right one, but the left one ain't working

Tried the buttons, and I get a response from the engine at idle which suggests its drawing power so not an issue there. The fuse is fine as it also powers the osf window.

Does it sound like the motor has gone? Should I run a test over the wires at the base of the motor to see if there's power going to it?

Pull the door card, pull the connector off the motor, get 2 wires from the battery and put them to the motor briefly and see what happens, if that works, test the plug for power.
Should be able to easily pinpoint the 'issue'.
