Would you buy one of these if you had to leave it on the street in a motorcycle spot? It would be locked...
My main worry is the weather getting at it throughout the year, i will also commute on it as well. |

Why not put a cover over it?
Even with your sea air I don't see why not. How much you paying for it? ACF50 or even just oil¶ffin mixed together & sprayed on te metal excluding brakes |

They're too nice to leave out on the street, popular with the theives! Buy a garage lmao.. srsly a decent cover and loads of chains = fine. you'll be using an anti corrosion spray such as fs10 or acf50 as a careful owner anyway, right? =)

Depends on your area, plus if you can chain it to a lamp post or railings even better. Cover and ACF50 for the rest.
(Sidenote can i put ACF 50 on the exhaust and down pipe things from the engine?) |

Not sure how well it protects them as I'm assuming most of it will burn off, but it will have a 'certain smell' about it for a while. |

If it goes on the exhaust/downpipes it'll just burn a rather nice smelling smoke for a few moments and then it'll stop. Worked well enough to keep my Z750 looking like new after a winter of commuting every day, rain, salted rains, whatever. Just not in the snow or icy.. Washed 2 or 3 times a week, sprayed liberally with FS10 after every wash and wet ride. |

The scotoiler stuff is useless unless you clean it that much you might as well have used WD40.
ACF50 and you can neglect it for whole winter. Sports 600s are most ragged, raced, bent and broken bikes about. Very healthy parts market attracts pikeys like flies round a turd. Beware!

If you're worried about corrosion I can help, I run an AllYearBiker franchise and do ACF50 based anti Corrosion treatments in Newbury, Berks as part of my business. Have a look at my site and see if it takes your fancy.
