Hi everybody!
I came by a nice, recently serviced Fox Twin Clicker shock with Eibach spring and all. It's also the model with the ride hight adjustment, for Gen 1 SV. When I inspected both compression and rebound adjusters, it felt...odd. Both of them clicked pretty well so the motion is good, however the compression dial doesn't stop on either direction while it has numbers on it from 1 to 8. The rebound dial stops when fully in (or upwards if you like). When fully dialed out, it just clicks until it fades and rotates like a nut on a bolt. You can actually feel the dial click well until the clicks become weaker all of a sudden and then free rotatio. By free rotation I mean it dials without clicking and by hand. Also, I counted 50 clicks from fully in until it fades. Anyone with a similar shock could make a comparison? |

That feeling of clicker spinning freely does not seem unusual, detent for clicks can be on the top of that dial you turn, so you turn it out far enough and the detent is not pressed into grooves any more.
If compression adjuster is a drum/orifice type then it going round and round indefinitely is normal. Penske use this. N.B I am not familiar with fox shock. However out at the extreme end of rebound adjustment will probably not be good for you. I'd guess 20 out or so to start with unless you hear better from someone who knows.
