Default Where for insurance

Hi,
Newbie wanting to know where to get cheap insurance on 99 curvy 650.

Ideally a company that does not need proof of restriction.

Cos I dont have a full lisense and want to buy and fit these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-2002-SUZU...item2306ed304b

restrictors myself.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Use a couple of price comparison sites, there can be a huge difference in prices depending on all sorts of daft things so the best deal for one person will be very different to the best for someone else. I've found that the insurance companies I've used havent been interested in the restrictors at all.

I'm currently with bikesure, underwritten by KGM or something, and they didn't need any proof of restriction.

20 quid for 2 washers !!!!!! Fakkinell !!!!!
If you can find the size they`d cost pennies.

Insurance wise try Adrian Flux, ive been with them for my car insurance for years and just got my bike insurance with them too.

Look at this thread before going down that road.

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=150503

Whatever you do to restrict the bike, make damn sure you can show it is a Suzuki part, or at least from a reputable supplier who says it IS A 33HP RESTRICTOR. Yes, you can get the washers dirt cheap, but you want to be able to show you have a part fitted that restricts the bike properly. You don't need to be ripped off by FI international or any other company, just for a certificate (apparently, BASAT!) but being able to say "Hey, Mr Beak! I have a Suzuki receipt for two 33HP restrictor washers" may be a good thing!
