Liking the faith Mr C! I cant see why she should fail unless its something really stupid like a bulb gone that I dont know about, but I checked everything over this weekend and it was fine, plus ive done about 2k miles in the last month without any problems flagging up, so im sure she will be fine

Anyone got any shock horror MOT stories to keep me entertained while im sat here killing time waiting for the result?

good luck.
If you're ever worried about a bike passing an MOT, you're taking it to the wrong MOT centre

Matt, your quite right. A friend who I work with takes his bike to a place in Reading, because they have known him for years if his bike ever fails they just put it through as a pass, tell him whats wrong and leave it down to him to fix.. Which he does in all fairness to him. Still, in this day and age with remotely controllable speed cameras, coppers picking you up for something you havent even really done (ala the 33bhp thread) and not being able to so much as fart without being caught on a CCTV camera somewhere, it surprises me you can still get away with things like the aforementioned.

Hang on...
You've got CCTV that can spot a fart? - Awsome!

I wouldnt say my MOT guy just lets me get away with shoddy stuff, he just knows if I'm willing to ride the bike then it must be safe. Cant speak for all bikers but generally bikers tend to know a bit more about the importance of proper maintenance. You take a car to my MOT guy an he'll fail it based on a broken indicator surround... and he has done, last year the day before AR.

AHEM!!!!!

Speedy, dons his VOSA hat.......

Naughty-naughty!!!!

We all know this happens, sad thing is that unfortunately, accidents can still happen on the way back from an MOT before something has been rectified, Potentially causing heartache and misery for other people that may get caught up in it.
(even as a witness, watching a biker go sliding under a lorrys' wheels....not a nice thing to see.)

I'm not taking a "moral high-ground" stance here, but the MOT system is a farce anyway and it is open for abuse. Simple as.
