Default K3 Integrated LED indicators/tail light

Just bought myself a sweet LED cluster, to include indicators, however obviously i have two indicators sticking out of the number plate mount area.

Once i have fitted the combined tail light unit, how do i get rid of the two indicator stalk?

Unbolt them? Or is there a deeper question you're asking?

BTW, your new light isn't legal in the UK, when removing the original parts don't cut or discard anything - you'll need them when the MOT comes round.

intigrated tail lights and indicators arent legal?

its the stalks that stick out, i couldnt see anywhere to unbolt them, they seem to go into a block, where the numberplate is held on?

No, integrated indicator and tail lights are not legal in the UK.

Under the rear mudguard there is an 8mm nut on the end of each indicator stalk.

Their also not very clear for drivers behind you to see which way your indicating.

Yup not very visable at all I was behind a bike at a junction that had these on a bike, I did wonder where the indicators had gone. This may also lead to several problems should you ever be knocked off or stopped.

When i`m on the bike, or in the car for that matter, I sure as f&^k want folk to know where i`m going.

Edit, Mind you I did look at those clear rear light units myself, but wouldn`t use the indicators, then noticed they have no reflector either so even the tail and stop lights probably aren`t as bright.

I have one and agree with the above the brake light bit works ok but the winkers aren't sufficient, with this in mind I fitted some mini indicators so I have both working, now I have extra indicators and a decent brake light with clear led's looks quite neat, will try and remember to post a pic tomorrow so you can see.
