I needed to have an upgraded clutch driveshaft replaced which was a major job. Gearbox, clutch out of one side, and water pump and altenator out from the other side, with the driveshaft in the middle. That took about 3 hours. It hasn't failed, but I didn't want it going bang on me in France and destroying the engine and my trip
![]() ![]() So off I trotted sunday morning where my dad and Colin were already hard at work playing with his CBX1000 ProDrive getting ready for his own road trip. Plan was to swap the driveshaft gear, new oil and filter, and fit my carbon fibre, and make a reg plate up after my reg transfer. Heres some piccies ![]() Clutch etc off exposing bottom of the rods and crank (Nurses semi...) ![]() That gear sprocket in the top middle, in above shot, that and its rod had to come out. The rod has to be knocked through from the other side and pulled out the above side. The gear then comes off, but between the engine is a load of drive gears inside the engine, and if these dropped as we removed the rod, the bike engine was history so nervy times. But luckily is swapped over ok ![]() Other side where rods pushed through. Luckily a knackard wire was found (connected to sidestand) so sorted. Also some loose bolts on the altenator were found. Worth doing this alone then really as for sure it would go in France. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After making a "legal" plate up, I needed to order a proper one. Instead of D4 MOB, say hello to D4MO B ![]() Also had a test fit for the panniers ![]() ![]() Mehinks I need some shorter bungies :rolling: ![]() 23 days left as of today. YEAHHHHH BABY! |

Have to say.... NICE ! :0)
but please put some non slip mat where the bungies are or your paint work will get damaged...
