Default 33bhp restriction - Dyno chart?

Has anyone ever run a restricted SV on a dyno? Got a chart you can put up? I'm curious as to where the power and torque curve moves - it's certainly not an identical curve until 33bhp then a flat line and nothing more to come - there's still more power coming in as the revs rise higher and higher... she's derestricted in a few months but it would be nice to know what's going on in the meantime...

i dont know if this answers your question. It probably dosent, but here goes any way.

Today i too the restrictor out of my bike, only took about 2 mins. I know i shouldnt, but i just wanted to know what it was like. It is fully restricted again now.

But, i did find that up to about 8,000rpm both 33bhp anf full power feel the same, after 8,000 the restricted bike seems to stop pulling, where as the powerband is just starting on the unrestricted sv. And it goes mental!!!

That's what it feels like - seems to run out of puff around 7-8000, though if the magic box was just limiting the power, it should be tailing off around 4-5000 rpm, as that's where 33bhp seems to lie near on most charts I've seen...

If the bikes were pulling the same until about 7000rpm then the restricted bike would be making a good 60bhp... so they can't be the same... but I've heard quite a few people talk of the unrestricted bikes "taking off" over 7000 rpm, yet I've not seen any dyno charts that show any huge rise at that point... that's why I'm so confused...

Ah well, I'm sure I'll find out for myself soon enough... less than 2 months to go!

on 33bhp, peak is about 5800rpm

will pull to about 100mph at around 7500-8000rpm in 6th

ecu reprogrammed to operate similarly to stock ecu with peak and trail off but with lower power levels.

for best results on road shift at around 6000 in all gears bar 6th and first - 6th=no upshift, first = 9000-9500.

I did that too, until I went for a ride with pal riding a '98 CBR600 with after-market "open" exhaust. He was screaming it's tits off. Boy, that WAS a sound...

What year is your SV? I have a 2000 model and am looking to put in the washers myself - is it really that easy? Or is your bike restricted via another method?
Thanks
