I'm allowed to ride again at last
Having bashed my broken elbow on hard surfaces twice this week my surgeon asked me to nip in for an x-ray just to check that the plate hadn't moved. The great news is that it hasn't and the bone is healing so well that nearly all of the gap has filled in at the end of the ulna. He's so pleased with my progress that he's said I can start riding again. Woooooo!
 Now I just need to book in for some liposuction to get rid of the belly I have developed while not being able to do much in an arm brace so I can fit into my leathers. And maybe purchase one of these....

I'm kidding about the Valkyrie - thought the panniers are useful if you have a weekly shop to do at the supermarket. It belongs to a mate who is 6'4" tall and it suits him well. He said I could ride it if I could lift it off the side stand - which of course I couldn't because I'm a weedy girl.
