the marker guide on the offside side of the rear wheel spindle is loose. When i get the guide matched up on both sides the guide moves slightly when i tighten the spindle nut. (by guide i mean the rounded triangular shaped metal plate with the recess at the top for lining up the markers on both sides of the swing arm)
so at worst it may be a fraction out does anyone else experience the same issue and is there a way to fix it so it doesnt move. Its the side with the nut thats loose the other side is solid. |

I never used mine on the curvy. the holes in the plates were larger than the spindles so could be a fair bit out.
Used to use a length of ladder held against the rear tyre (bike upright of course) touching the side wall front and back, and measured the distance in from the ladder to a fixed point on the front wheel. Repeat from both sides and adjust as required. If it's out by a few mm over that length it's pretty good. The problem is when you are out a bit on the back, bit it's amplified by the distance to the front wheel. These days I just use a laser level to replace the ladder and the wife (gives her something to do) Ste

if you want to be really anal about it use a tape measure and measure the length between the centre of the wheel spindle and the centre of the swingarm spindle on both sides till they read the same. simples.......
