Got a pair of these fitted the other day, mainly because they had them in stock and of the right size, but they were also £50 cheaper than the Storm Ultras I normally have.
only done a 100 odd miles on them so far, but as I've extended my AR excursion to a week away I should put over 1,000 miles on them from thursday, so will see. Anyone else have them? thoughts ?

I had them on the Sv.
Perfectly good enough if you don't have a need for track day heroics. In the winter I could feel the transition from the soft outer to the hard inner in the wet. Nothing bad happen.

I have these on my K7 as well. Had them on for a year and a half so far and I think they are great. Good in the wet and good in corners.

I have a set fitted to the bike and really rate them, but then I am not a speed junkie or track enthusiast.

Well stuck 1,500 on them last week, the most outstanding thing about them is.... there's nothing outstanding, there fine do the job without fuss or drama, not to vague or jittery, there are better tyres out there but for the price they seem pretty good, just need to see the longevity really to conclude whether they are as good value as I expect them to be.
Oh one last thing, if you were to say fully load a bike with heavy panniers and a roll bag as well as a tent when on your private track, you may find that over three figure speeds the rear is a little "wolloy", but then who in their right mind is going to do that........ ![]()

Well I had a pair on the loan Bandit and put 2,500 miles on them over the worst of winter so thought I'd say what I found. The rear was brand new and the front was about 2/3rds worn.
All in all a pretty unspectacular tyre, not so good, but not so bad. They are pretty neutral handling and they are okay for normal riding in the dry, but start to push on and they lack grip, especially the front. They take a while to warm up especially in the cold of winter and are quite hard and a bit slippery until they warm up. In the wet they are okay, but they do like to move about a bit, again okay for normal riding but nothing more. They're best attribute is their stability under heavy loads, great with a pillion/luggage. I've returned the loan bike so I can't comment on longevity, but after 2500 boring upright winter miles they haven't squared, the rear had loads of tread left and the front was still good. They are more touring than sport touring and act like a tyre of their age and price bracket, so that's fair enough. Personally I wouldn't buy them myself as I feel that the PR3/4s are worth the extra money. However if I was short on money or had to ride another bike with these fitted I wouldn't mind.
