Lightbulb taller mirrors.

i was at couper mc's the other week and noticed that the gsf650s (bandit) 05 mirrors were a bit taller then the sv650 ones but looked the same angle on the fairing so i thought i would experiment and got a pair from wemoto.

well they fit perfect and are taller they also give a little more rear view but not much. i was hoping that they would give me a better rear view than they have but heyho. worth a try. instead of seeing my elbows i can see my shoulders. one good thing about them is i can see a little further down a line of traffic behind me now which is i suppose a plus point.

hhhhmmm, chewy's extenders would be the dogs on these.

I remember noticing that last year but never went any further with it. I've got chewy's extenders so mine aren't too bad. How much longer are they? About 20mm or so?

Wow they're a lot taller. It's the width that's a problem for me

You can really see the difference compared to the standard

well, done 280 miles yesterday with the new mirrors and all i can say is WOW. svdemon was right behind me at a few sets of lights and i could see both sides of his bike. yes i can still see my elbows/shoulders in 1/3 of the mirrors but what a difference.

biggest thing i found was i dont need to 'squint' my head or tuck my elbows in looking behind me and since they are a lot taller i found that they are more in my peripheral view so its easier to glance at them.

personally i like the look of them on the bike as i think they follow the lines of the top faring better.

I snapped a mirror on my k3, got one from stu that was off a k4 (we believe), interestingly the mirror arm on the k3 mirror is about an inch longer.
