New tyres - where to get them

Hey lads and ladies of Essexshire, I really must get new tyres fitted. Just rang Universal in Springfield Road, Chelmsford, to get a quote for Storm Ultras and the guy rather unhelpfully said they don't even have those listed so couldn't even give me a price!

I'm planning to wait while they do them rather than faffing about taking the wheels off. Anywhere in Essex would work for me.

I used Sean Davies in Colchester last time. 01206 366066. He's a general bike mechanic, not just a tyre fitter, but he's good. He's a small business on his own, which I like to support. I've also had good reports about him from others. He was no more expensive than any other place.

Down the A12 under the M25[Harold Park] set of traffic lights, turn left into Harold Court Rd,small parade of shops on right hand side with a little alleyway at the end------UP THE ALLEY He has a comprehensive stock of tyres Sorry don't know the name just that I use him and has always been very good on price

Mac means motorcycle tyres uk, ride in ride out with tea! Half day Thursday.

I take it you mean Storm Ultra 2? if so I had a set of these fitted about three weeks ago at Universal on Hyth Hill in Colchester, i was also told the Storm Ultra 2 wern't listed but they quoted me for standard Storm Ultra's & when i went in they were even cheaper than the original quote, £172 fitted & balanced to loose wheels.

Must say i'm really impressed with the tyres, they go edge to edge with ease, even after a only a mile or so, grip is good for me in the wet too, will definately be fitting them again when needed.
