Hi everybody, should introduce myself as its my first post... I'm Matthew, been meaning to join up for a while now, had my 53 plate sv650 s in burnt orange fully faired for about a year now. I'd probably never have even riden a bike but my former employer bought me it and paid for my licence
![]() Yesterday i was a bit silly and i...er.. fell off lol I've broken the end off the gear change lever and the fairing on that side. My biggest issue at the moment is that i can't seem to disengage the clutch.... i can't seem to pull the clutch lever in far enough to disengage it. Any ideas? i'm a half decent amature mechanic when it comes to cars, but im lost on a bike... |

Mechanics are mechanics.
If you crashed on the left and the clutch lever and/or the perch is/are bent, this might explain the problem. Disconnect the cable, does the lever now move it's full travel? If no then something 'round there got bent/jammed/etc when it went down.

The clutch lever moves freely, it did take a hit when it went down as its lost the end blob thing lol dunno what your supposed to call the blob of metal on the end of the lever...
anyway the level itself doesn't appear to be damaged beyond that and pulls back freely untill the point where the clutch would normally disengage and which point it feels stiff |
