Default Ever let someone out in traffic....

...only to have your kindness repaid by now being stuck behind the world's slowest/most erratic/most terminally lost/dumbest (delete as appropriate) driver?

Maddening. Graagh. Rant over.

However, there must be some kind of traffic yin/yang. After one of the above incidents today, was then filtering a long line of queuing traffic. Got stuck with large lorry on right, van and two cars too close to it along the left. Simultaneously van and cars all squeeze across to left to let me through, felt like moses. Brilliant. Had to check my bike after as I was sure someone must have stuck some flashing blue lights on it.

I love when cars move out the way for you. I always do it when I'm in the car

figures, i had one car move to the left for me today but teh car in front of that stuck to the right had side of the lane, almost like they didn't want to let me past

but yeah, i let people out when i'm in the car and they they dither and drive slower than everyone else letting more than their fair share out in the process... or like the other morning let this coffin dodger out and then he stopped and waited for the lollipop man even tho the lollipop man told him to go...

lucky most folk can't lip read in the rearview innit

When I was in Belgium and Germany last year all the cars get out of the way for you straight away. Much better drivers over there.

best are the ones who pull out on you at the last minute like they're in some sort of mad rush and then plod along at 25mph weaving across the road. Cockheads.

There's lots of old duffers around here who can barely manage to keep their Nissan Micra out of the gutter. This morning's favourite was one who, just as I was lining up an overtake, indicated right for a few seconds. Then continued straight on for the next mile with me stuck behind him until the next straight section.

On the other hand, lots of folks moved over to make room for me on the A40. So, not all bad.

Happens all the time on the M1, people are arrogant.

Was following a car the other day which purposely moved to the right to prevent me overtaking on an A road. Can't account for the mentality of some

People who overtake you... and then slow down.

Or the COMPLETE TOOL driving along in the middle lane of the M4 in a brand new Honda CRV at 60mph. My exit was coming up in about a mile so couldn't overtake and was aph33red of undertaking (tsk tsk) given a plonker like that might suddenly swerve over without looking.
